Case study · Restaurant helical piles
Izakaya Den
More than 100 Magnum 3-inch reinforced helical piles, 60 feet deep and rated to 90 kips, for the new Izakaya Den restaurant in Denver.
The project
Izakaya Den
Park Range Construction was awarded more than $250,000 of work to install the foundation for the new Izakaya Den restaurant in Denver, for Jordy Construction.
The site sat in tight quarters between two existing buildings, so the drill rigs had to work in a narrow space. Because of the hard soils and the 60-foot depth requirement, holes were pre-drilled with a TEI skid-mounted rock drill before the helical piles were installed.
To finish on schedule, we ran multiple drilling rigs at the same time.
Scope of work
- 100+ Magnum 3-inch reinforced tubular helical piles
- 60 ft depth, 90 kips
- Pre-drilling with a TEI skid-mounted rock drill
- Tight site between two existing buildings
